If it will not come out whole, it gets cut down where it stands. That is slower, noisier and messier than lifting one out intact. It is also very often the only option available, so it is not a choice we make to inflate anything.
Whether it is still full of water, and whether it is still live
A hot tub holds hundreds of gallons and that water weighs more than the tub does. Drain it before we arrive and the job gets quicker and cheaper. Do not drain it onto a neighbor’s yard or into a storm drain, because chlorinated water is not supposed to go there.

If that has not been arranged, the breaker powering it has to be switched off at the very least, because the removal is not safe with the tub live. Whether the tub is built into a deck
