How Pricing Works

How we price junk removal

Most junk removal companies price on truck volume: a quarter load, a half load, and you pay for the air around your pile if it does not stack neatly. We price on three things instead, and it is usually about 30% less by the end of it.

01

What it weighs

Weight is the single biggest input, so we estimate what your load weighs before we start. A truck of pillows and a truck of tile cost us very different amounts, and you should not pay the same for both.

02

How long it takes

Labor time is the second input: how long the job truly takes. A curbside pile goes straight onto the truck. A third-floor walk-up, a packed crawlspace or a shed that has to come apart first takes longer, and the price reflects that.

03

How hard it is to reach

Stairs, tight doorways, a long carry down a driveway, no parking within fifty feet. None of it is a surprise charge, because we can see all of it before we quote you.

Franchise Pricing

Why a franchise costs more than we do

A franchise charges by how much of the truck you fill, so a truck of empty boxes costs what a truck of bricks costs. We price on what the load weighs, how long it takes and how hard it is to reach, and we discount what we can recycle, donate or resell. That is how we often come in 30% lower.

What the national franchises do

  • They pay franchise fees on your job
  • They run smaller trucks, so the same load takes more trips to the dump
  • They price on truck volume, so light items cost the same as bricks
  • They dump the load rather than sorting it, so nothing comes off your price

What we do instead

  • Nobody owns us, so there is no franchise fee inside your price
  • We run the largest trucks in New England, and three of theirs fit in one of ours
  • Fewer trips to the dump, and the saving comes off the job rather than staying with us
  • We sort every load for recycling, donation and resale, which cuts the disposal weight you are paying for

Less overhead, smarter hauling, better pricing. Bring us any written quote from another junk removal company and we beat it by up to 10%.

Sorting The Load

How recycling, donation and resale lower your price

We sort every load rather than dumping it. Less weight at the transfer station means a smaller disposal bill, and that saving goes to you.

Recycling

Metals, cardboard, plastics and electronics come out of the load and go to be recycled. Every pound diverted is a pound nobody pays to bury.

Donation

Usable furniture, household goods and clothing go to charity, and we pay no disposal fee on any of it. That saving comes off your price. You still pay for the labor to load it.

Resale

If we can resell an item, you get a cash discount off the job for it. Ask the crew on site and they will tell you what qualifies.

Here is where the load actually goes once it leaves your driveway.

What Everyone Charges

How much does a pickup truck load of junk cost in NH and MA?

Five ways to get the same load gone, priced from most to least. We are not the cheapest line on it, and the two below us are cheaper for reasons worth reading.

A national franchise will quote $190 to $230 for a full-size pickup truck load, and a regional one running the same playbook lands around $155 to $190. Both price by how much of the truck your pile fills, which is why you end up paying for the air around it if it does not stack neatly.

We charge $125 to $155 for the same load, about 30% less than the franchises. We price on what the load weighs, how long the job takes and how far we have to carry it, and you approve that number before anything moves.

Two things are cheaper than us and it is worth knowing why. A dumpster is $80 to $120, and you do the loading yourself while it sits on your driveway until collection day. Somebody with a pickup truck is $60 to $100, with no DOT number, no insurance, and nothing in writing about where your things end up.

Average price per 2.5 cubic yards, which is a full-size pickup truck load, before coupons and discounts.

Price comparison for a pickup truck load of junk in New Hampshire and Massachusetts: national franchise $190 to $230, regional franchise $155 to $190, Trash Can Willy's $125 to $155, dumpster rental $80 to $120, and an unlicensed pickup truck $60 to $100.

FAQ

Junk removal questions, answered

How much does junk removal cost?

Single items start at $35 and most full loads run well below the big franchises, about 30% less on average. Every job gets a fair upfront price before we touch anything, and we beat any written quote.

How soon can you come?

Same-day is often possible depending on where the trucks already are, and otherwise it is next day. Call or text and we will tell you what is open before you commit to anything. We run Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5 and Saturday 8 to 4. We are closed Sunday.

What do you take?

If two or three strong guys can lift it and it fits in a box truck, we take it: furniture, appliances, hot tubs, sheds, construction debris, whole basements. We can't take hazardous waste like paint, oil or chemicals.

What happens to my stuff?

Most of it gets a second life. Usable goods are donated, a lot of it to the Epilepsy Foundation, Goodwill, the Salvation Army and local soup kitchens, metals and electronics get recycled, and only the true junk goes to the transfer station. A portion of every job we do goes to the Wounded Warriors Family Support Fund.

How many people show up?

Two or three, depending on the size of the job. You point at what is going and the crew does the lifting, the stairs and the loading. Nobody expects you to drag it to the curb first.

Do I need to be home?

Nope. Point us at the pile by phone or photo, and as long as we can reach it, we can haul it and send you the after photos.

How does the $40 off coupon work?

Mention the coupon when you book any job and we take $40 off the quoted price. One per job.
