Why Us

Why Use Trash Can Willy's in Woburn

A couch, a fridge and the boxes stacked behind them come to one price rather than three, and we carry all of it out. Here is what people here call us for.

No job is too big or too small

One recliner off a two-family on Walnut Hill, or a whole basement up in North Woburn with the doors, windows and old 2x4s in it. You name it, we take it, and that includes tires and garage items as long as they are non-hazardous. You point and we remove it from where it sits: out of the basement, down from the attic, off the back porch. We are licensed and insured.

We take the construction debris the city will not

The city says it twice on its own pages: no construction debris of any kind is allowed, doors, windows, sheetrock and 2x4s included. Bulk items are not a city service either, and the only city drop-off for the odd stuff opens one Saturday morning every three months. The gut job and the furniture leave together on our truck, for one price you approve first.

The largest trucks, and a crew that watches your house

We use the largest trucks in New England, so a two-family cleared between tenants goes in one trip. Two or three of us come depending on the size of the job, trained personnel who watch your corners, your carpets and your floors on the way out. You get a two-hour appointment window and a call when we are 20 minutes out. Up to 85% of what we haul is recycled or donated, with usable things going to local Woburn charities first.

Two and three-family houses are everyday work

A lot of the housing here is two and three-family homes where three tenants share one stairwell, from Shaker Hill and Cummingsville in the west to North Woburn and Central Square. Our crews know which pieces have to come apart before they come down, and they work a shared stairwell without holding up the rest of the building.

Priced on the work, not the air in the truck

Most junk removal companies charge by how much truck space you use. Bricks or feathers, packed tight or full of air, you can pay the same simply because it takes up the same space. We price the actual job: weight, labor, difficulty and access. And our trucks are huge. Three of many competitors' trucks can fit inside one of ours, which means fewer trips to unload, less time spent dumping and lower costs we can pass on to our customers. Your price is approved before anything moves and doesn't change afterward. Plus, we beat any written quote.

Local. Veteran-owned. No franchise fees.

Steve built Trash Can Willy's on the same principles he learned in the military: show up when we say we will, honor our quote, communicate clearly and leave your property better than we found it. We're local, not a franchise. No call centers, corporate runaround or franchise fees built into your price. We're BBB A+ Accredited, licensed and insured, and a portion of every job supports Wounded Warrior Family Support. Fair pricing. Great communication. No stress. Just a job done right.

FAQ

Questions we get about junk removal in Woburn

What does a cleanout cost in Woburn?

It is priced on what the load weighs, the labor it takes and how hard it is to reach, not counted by the piece. Single items start at $35, $40 comes off any job above that, and the crew confirms the number before anything is lifted. A basement in a two-family is a small job and a whole house is a bigger one.

Can you get a sofa down a three-family back stairwell?

Yes, and the back stairwell is usually the way we take it. Woburn's two and three-families put the back stairs and the porch where a hallway would be in a newer house, which is narrow but straight, and straight beats a front stairwell with a turn in it. We decide which of the two the piece is going down before we pick it up, we protect the treads and the frames, and the stairs stay usable for the other tenants while we work.

Do you take appliances and old electronics?

Both, in the same load as the furniture. Fridges, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers and air conditioners go on the truck with the doors still on, and we take a door off ourselves if that is what a stairwell needs. Old televisions, monitors and computers ride along too, and the metal and the electronics go to recyclers rather than into the ground.

Will you take my construction debris?

Yes, and it is a good share of what we carry out of Woburn. Doors, windows, sheetrock, 2x4s, the old vanity, the tub surround and the bagged-up demo from a bathroom all go on the truck in one visit. Our crew loads it and we sweep the driveway after. The only things we cannot take are the hazardous ones: wet paint and stain, gasoline, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze and motor oil.

How fast can you get to Woburn?

Woburn is dispatched out of our Lawrence office, straight down I-93 to the interchange, and the same trucks work Wilmington, Burlington and Reading on the same days. Same-day or next-day is often possible.

How do you quote a job?

Call or text 603-490-2177 with a description or a few photos and we give you a price range on the spot. That phone quote is our best guess, not a binding number. When the crew arrives they look at the job and confirm the exact price before any work starts. Once you approve it, it does not change. For big jobs and full cleanouts we come out for a free on-site estimate, Monday to Friday 9 to 5.

Do you beat other quotes?

Yes. Bring us any written estimate from another company and we beat it by up to 10%. And every week we draw one customer's completed job and refund it in full, so keep your receipt.

Do I need to be home?

Not if we can get to the stuff. Plenty of jobs are booked by phone, hauled while you're at work, and closed out with photos and a card payment. If access is tight or you want to point at things yourself, be there and we'll walk it with you.

When will you actually show up?

You get a two-hour arrival window and a courtesy call about 20 minutes out, so you're not sitting around all day. Most single-item pickups are done inside an hour of the truck arriving.

What won't you take?

Hazardous waste is the short list: wet paint or stain, gasoline and other flammable liquids loose in cans or drums, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze, motor oil, asbestos and medical waste. A mower, generator or snow blower with fuel or oil still in it is fine: we drain it as part of the job. Fully dried latex paint is fine. Everything else, if two people can lift it and it fits in the truck, we take it.

How do I pay, and how does the $40 off work?

Credit, debit, cash, or estate, certified and business checks. No personal checks. You get an emailed receipt before the truck leaves. Mention the coupon when you book any job and we take $40 off the quoted price, one per job.
