Our Services

The junk removal services we provide in Wakefield

More examples of junk we take

Single items start at $35. Businesses throughout Wakefield use us for office cleanouts and renovation debris removal, retail space clearing for new tenants, restaurant equipment and fixture disposal, and construction debris hauling from job sites.

Why Us

Why Use Trash Can Willy's in Wakefield

We take the whole room in one trip, for one price you approve before anything moves, and you do not carry any of it. Here is what people here call us for.

No job is too big or too small

One recliner carried down from a West Side third floor, or a full estate cleanout out toward Montrose. You name it, we take it, houses and businesses both: office cleanouts, retail space clearing, restaurant fixtures and job-site debris. You point and we remove it from where it sits. We are licensed and insured.

A sectional is a sectional, and the gut job goes too

The town allows two bulky items a week on a sticker you buy and stick on yourself, and it counts a sectional sofa as two or three items depending on how many pieces it has. It takes no construction material at all, sheetrock, roofing tile and concrete included, so a bathroom or a kitchen gut has no municipal route here. To us a sectional is a sectional, and the vanity, the cabinets and the old fixtures leave with it on the day you book.

A uniformed crew and the largest trucks in New England

We use the largest trucks in New England, so a whole room leaves in one trip rather than two items a week. Two or three of us come depending on the size of the job, a uniformed and insured team who watch your corners, your carpets and your floors, and complete cleanup follows every job. We book a two-hour window and call 20 minutes before we arrive. Up to 85% of what we haul is recycled or donated: usable things to charities around Wakefield, materials to Massachusetts recycling facilities.

You do not have to be there

We would rather you were there for the appointment, but we can arrange the job when you are not available. We take a range of payment methods and can coordinate access to the property, and our insured team safeguards the house either way.

Priced on the work, not the air in the truck

Most junk removal companies charge by how much truck space you use. Bricks or feathers, packed tight or full of air, you can pay the same simply because it takes up the same space. We price the actual job: weight, labor, difficulty and access. And our trucks are huge. Three of many competitors' trucks can fit inside one of ours, which means fewer trips to unload, less time spent dumping and lower costs we can pass on to our customers. Your price is approved before anything moves and doesn't change afterward. Plus, we beat any written quote.

Local. Veteran-owned. No franchise fees.

Steve built Trash Can Willy's on the same principles he learned in the military: show up when we say we will, honor our quote, communicate clearly and leave your property better than we found it. We're local, not a franchise. No call centers, corporate runaround or franchise fees built into your price. We're BBB A+ Accredited, licensed and insured, and a portion of every job supports Wounded Warrior Family Support. Fair pricing. Great communication. No stress. Just a job done right.

The Wakefield neighborhoods we cover

We cover the whole town: Greenwood at the south end, Woodville on the central east side, Montrose up in the northeast corner, downtown and the West Side along the far shore of Lake Quannapowitt, and the East Side and Lakeside between the two lakes. Wakefield is a regular run for us, not a special trip, and a job that straddles the Reading, North Reading, Lynnfield, Saugus, Melrose or Stoneham line is still one job.

Zip codes we cover in Wakefield: 01880.

FAQ

Questions we get about junk removal in Wakefield

Can you take a whole sectional in one visit?

Yes, all of it at once, however many pieces it splits into. A sectional is one load to us rather than a count, and it goes in the same trip as the rug that was under it and the chair nobody sits in. If a piece is bigger than the doorway we take it apart and leave the room the way we found it.

Do you take appliances, doors on or off?

Doors on, and we take them off ourselves if that is what a stairwell needs. Fridges, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves and air conditioners all go on the truck the day we come, out of the kitchen or the garage, and the metal goes to a recycler rather than into the ground. Old televisions, monitors and computers ride along in the same load.

Do you take renovation debris?

Yes. Sheetrock, roofing tile, concrete, old cabinets and the rest of a bathroom or kitchen tear-out all go on the truck, and they can go on the same visit as the furniture. Demolition debris is a big part of what our trucks carry here, so tell us what came out of the room and we will price the whole job as one number.

What does a cleanout cost in Wakefield?

It comes down to what the load weighs, the labor it takes and how hard it is to reach. Single items start at $35, and $40 comes off any job above that. A room is usually a small job, a whole house is a bigger one, and we would rather work that out with you on the phone than surprise you on the day. Nothing is charged by the piece.

How fast can you get to Wakefield?

Wakefield is dispatched out of our Lawrence office, down I-93 or I-95, and the same trucks work Reading and Woburn on the same days. Same-day or next-day is often possible.

How do you quote a job?

Call or text 603-490-2177 with a description or a few photos and we give you a price range on the spot. That phone quote is our best guess, not a binding number. When the crew arrives they look at the job and confirm the exact price before any work starts. Once you approve it, it does not change. For big jobs and full cleanouts we come out for a free on-site estimate, Monday to Friday 9 to 5.

Do you beat other quotes?

Yes. Bring us any written estimate from another company and we beat it by up to 10%. And every week we draw one customer's completed job and refund it in full, so keep your receipt.

Do I need to be home?

Not if we can get to the stuff. Plenty of jobs are booked by phone, hauled while you're at work, and closed out with photos and a card payment. If access is tight or you want to point at things yourself, be there and we'll walk it with you.

When will you actually show up?

You get a two-hour arrival window and a courtesy call about 20 minutes out, so you're not sitting around all day. Most single-item pickups are done inside an hour of the truck arriving.

What won't you take?

Hazardous waste is the short list: wet paint or stain, gasoline and other flammable liquids loose in cans or drums, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze, motor oil, asbestos and medical waste. A mower, generator or snow blower with fuel or oil still in it is fine: we drain it as part of the job. Fully dried latex paint is fine. Everything else, if two people can lift it and it fits in the truck, we take it.

How do I pay, and how does the $40 off work?

Credit, debit, cash, or estate, certified and business checks. No personal checks. You get an emailed receipt before the truck leaves. Mention the coupon when you book any job and we take $40 off the quoted price, one per job.
