Why Us

Why use Trash Can Willy's in Hooksett

We are a local, veteran-owned junk removal company, A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau and 17+ years in business. Here is what that means on a Hooksett job.

Big or small, if you do not want it any more

We handle just about anything, from old furniture, appliances and mattresses to full garage cleanouts, sheds, hot tubs and construction debris. Big or small, if you do not want it any more, we will take care of it, for homeowners, renters, businesses and job sites alike. A single item starts at $35 and an entire property cleared out is the same phone call.

The crew shows up when we say we will

Our crew shows up when we say we will and takes care of the job from start to finish. Two or three trained personnel come in uniform inside a two-hour window with a call about 20 minutes ahead, and they watch your corners, your carpets and your floors on the way out. We use the largest trucks in New England, so a full garage still goes in one trip.

Hooksett is our home town

Our yard is at 230 Londonderry Turnpike, here in Hooksett, so this is not a drive for us. The town ordinance collects only household trash at the curb, and if you are in a condominium or a building of four units or more it does not collect at all. Call or text 603-490-2177 and we will come and get it.

Where the Hooksett trucks load, and where the load goes

The yard on Londonderry Turnpike is the main office and handles local dispatch: the trucks that run Manchester, Concord and Nashua load here, and so do the ones going out to Hampstead, Plaistow, Goffstown and Deerfield. Whenever we can we recycle or donate to keep as much as possible out of the landfill, which comes to up to 85% of what we haul, and whatever we can resell comes off your price. Fair pricing, dependable service and no runaround.

Priced on the work, not the air in the truck

Most junk removal companies charge by how much truck space you use. Bricks or feathers, packed tight or full of air, you can pay the same simply because it takes up the same space. We price the actual job: weight, labor, difficulty and access. And our trucks are huge. Three of many competitors' trucks can fit inside one of ours, which means fewer trips to unload, less time spent dumping and lower costs we can pass on to our customers. Your price is approved before anything moves and doesn't change afterward. Plus, we beat any written quote.

Local. Veteran-owned. No franchise fees.

Steve built Trash Can Willy's on the same principles he learned in the military: show up when we say we will, honor our quote, communicate clearly and leave your property better than we found it. We're local, not a franchise. No call centers, corporate runaround or franchise fees built into your price. We're BBB A+ Accredited, licensed and insured, and a portion of every job supports Wounded Warrior Family Support. Fair pricing. Great communication. No stress. Just a job done right.

Service Areas

The parts of Hooksett we cover

We cover the whole town, both sides of the river. Hooksett Village sits in the middle where Main Street crosses the Merrimack, and South Hooksett runs down Hooksett Road and the Bypass to the Manchester line, taking in Granite Hill, Meadowsett Village and Manchester Manor.

West of the river, Route 3A carries you up the middle of town toward the Bow and Allenstown lines. Our own yard is on Londonderry Turnpike, so nothing in this town is a drive for us. The whole town is 03106. If the truck can reach you, we can haul it.

Zip codes we cover in Hooksett: 03106.

Don't see your street? Call or text 603-490-2177. If the truck can reach you, we can haul it.

FAQ

Questions we get about junk removal in Hooksett

How much does junk removal in Hooksett cost?

Single items start at $35, and $40 comes off any job above that. Past that we price the job itself: what it weighs, the labor it takes, how difficult it is and how hard it is to get to, which is why a garage you can walk into costs less than the same load out of a cellar. Anything we can resell, donate or recycle comes off that price, and we beat any written quote you already have in hand.

Where is your office, and can I come by?

We are at 230 Londonderry Turnpike, Hooksett, NH 03106, off the Bypass. It is a working yard rather than a shop counter, so call or text 603-490-2177 before you drive over and somebody will be expecting you. This is the main office: the trucks that run Manchester, Concord, Nashua and the rest of southern New Hampshire load here.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5 and Saturday 8 to 4. We are closed Sunday. Free on-site estimates for big jobs and full cleanouts run Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.

What do you take in Hooksett?

You name it, we take it. Furniture, appliances, electronics, household clutter, yard debris, construction debris, hot tubs, sheds, pianos and the whole contents of a basement, garage or attic. The rule of thumb is simple: if two or three strong guys can lift it, it goes on the truck. The short list we cannot take is hazardous: wet paint, gasoline and other fuels, solvents and propane tanks.

Who turns up, and how many of them?

Two or three of us, depending on the size of the job. They are real employees, background-checked and in uniform. You get a two-hour window and a courtesy call about 20 minutes before they pull in.

Is there a minimum, or will you take just one thing?

One thing is fine. Single items start at $35, and a lot of our Hooksett work is exactly that: a dryer out of a unit at Granite Hill, a recliner from a spare room, an old grill. The quote is free and there is no obligation. If it turns into three things while we are standing there, we tell you the new price before we load any of it.

I live at Granite Hill or in one of the parks on Hooksett Road. Can you still come?

Yes, and we work those addresses most weeks. The lanes are narrow and the parking is shared, so we bring the truck in only as far as it can sit without blocking anybody, and we carry from the door. If your association or park office wants notice before a truck comes in, tell us when you book and we will work to their window.

Do you recycle and donate?

Yes, up to 85 percent of what we haul. Usable furniture and household goods go to donation partners, including the Epilepsy Foundation and veterans' programs, metal goes to scrap and electronics go to a certified recycler. If something coming out of your house still has resale value we take a discount off your price for it, and sometimes we even buy your junk.

Do you do full house cleanouts in Hooksett?

Yes, and they are a large part of what we do. Estates, foreclosures, evictions, hoarding situations, move-outs and downsizing, plus the basement, attic or garage on its own. We are the professional experts on cleanouts, hot tubs, sheds and pianos. Where we can we clear the whole property in one visit, sweep it, and send photos when it is empty.

How soon can you get to Hooksett?

Same-day or next-day is often possible. We are not driving in from another town: the office is at 230 Londonderry Turnpike, so a job in the Village, out on Whitehall Road or down in South Hooksett is a short trip either way.

How do you quote a job?

Call or text 603-490-2177 with a description or a few photos and we give you a price range on the spot. That phone quote is our best guess, not a binding number. When the crew arrives they look at the job and confirm the exact price before any work starts. Once you approve it, it does not change. For big jobs and full cleanouts we come out for a free on-site estimate, Monday to Friday 9 to 5.

Do you beat other quotes?

Yes. Bring us any written estimate from another company and we beat it by up to 10%. And every week we draw one customer's completed job and refund it in full, so keep your receipt.

Do I need to be home?

Not if we can get to the stuff. Plenty of jobs are booked by phone, hauled while you're at work, and closed out with photos and a card payment. If access is tight or you want to point at things yourself, be there and we'll walk it with you.

When will you actually show up?

You get a two-hour arrival window and a courtesy call about 20 minutes out, so you're not sitting around all day. Most single-item pickups are done inside an hour of the truck arriving.

What won't you take?

Hazardous waste is the short list: wet paint or stain, gasoline and other flammable liquids loose in cans or drums, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze, motor oil, asbestos and medical waste. A mower, generator or snow blower with fuel or oil still in it is fine: we drain it as part of the job. Fully dried latex paint is fine. Everything else, if two people can lift it and it fits in the truck, we take it.

How do I pay, and how does the $40 off work?

Credit, debit, cash, or estate, certified and business checks. No personal checks. You get an emailed receipt before the truck leaves. Mention the coupon when you book any job and we take $40 off the quoted price, one per job.
