The junk removal services we offer in Litchfield

More examples of junk we take

Why Us

Why use Trash Can Willy's in Litchfield

We are a local, veteran-owned junk removal company, A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau and 17+ years in business. Here is what that means on a Litchfield job.

We take just about anything in Litchfield

Let us face it, getting rid of junk in Litchfield is a pain. The town has a dump but it is limited to say the least, and if you are like most homeowners the junk just keeps piling up. We take just about anything, from a single item at $35 up to a whole house cleanout: furniture, appliances, electronics, household clutter, yard debris, construction debris, hot tubs, sheds and pianos, and we take it from wherever it sits.

Fast, courteous crews and the largest trucks in New England

Fast, professional and courteous service is the promise, and on the day it looks like this: two or three trained personnel in uniform, a two-hour arrival window and a call about 20 minutes before we pull in. They watch your corners, your carpets and your floors on the way out. Nothing in Litchfield is on public sewer, so we keep the truck on the drive rather than the leach field and carry from the door, and because we use the largest trucks in New England a full garage still goes in one trip.

We take the whole pile, and you do not need a sticker

The station on Recycling Way is open to Litchfield residents only, and you need a vehicle sticker on the windshield to get through the gate. It charges by the piece on top of that, so a cleared garage turns into a list of items priced one at a time. We take the whole pile in one visit, for one price, and you do not need a sticker.

Serving Litchfield from our Hooksett office

Litchfield is run out of our Hooksett branch, straight south down Route 3A, the Charles Bancroft Highway, which runs the length of the town. There is no bridge over the river inside the town line, so hauling a load yourself means going north through Manchester or south through Hudson, and we already make that drive. Up to 85% of what goes on the truck is recycled, resold or donated rather than landfilled.

Priced on the work, not the air in the truck

Most junk removal companies charge by how much truck space you use. Bricks or feathers, packed tight or full of air, you can pay the same simply because it takes up the same space. We price the actual job: weight, labor, difficulty and access. And our trucks are huge. Three of many competitors' trucks can fit inside one of ours, which means fewer trips to unload, less time spent dumping and lower costs we can pass on to our customers. Your price is approved before anything moves and doesn't change afterward. Plus, we beat any written quote.

Local. Veteran-owned. No franchise fees.

Steve built Trash Can Willy's on the same principles he learned in the military: show up when we say we will, honor our quote, communicate clearly and leave your property better than we found it. We're local, not a franchise. No call centers, corporate runaround or franchise fees built into your price. We're BBB A+ Accredited, licensed and insured, and a portion of every job supports Wounded Warrior Family Support. Fair pricing. Great communication. No stress. Just a job done right.

Litchfield is served from our Hooksett office and it is a regular run for us. We work the named developments too, Broadview Acres, Stage Crossing, Woodland Place, Stonehenge and Pagewood Oval. If the truck can reach you, we can haul it.

Zip codes we cover in Litchfield: 03052.

FAQ

Questions we get about junk removal in Litchfield

How much does junk removal in Litchfield cost?

Single items start at $35, and $40 comes off any job above that. Past that we price the job itself: what it weighs, the labor it takes, how difficult it is and how hard it is to get to. Anything we can resell, donate or recycle comes off that price, and we beat any written quote you already have in hand.

What do you take in Litchfield?

You name it, we take it. Furniture, appliances, electronics, household clutter, yard debris, construction debris, hot tubs, sheds, pianos and the whole contents of a basement, garage or attic. The rule of thumb is simple: if two or three strong guys can lift it, it goes on the truck. The short list we cannot take is hazardous: wet paint, gasoline and other fuels, solvents and propane tanks.

Do you recycle and donate?

Yes, up to 85 percent of what we haul. Usable furniture and household goods go to donation partners, metal goes to scrap and electronics go to a certified recycler. If something coming out of your house still has resale value we take a discount off your price for it, and sometimes we even buy your junk.

Do you do full house cleanouts in Litchfield?

Yes, and they are a large part of what we do. Estates, foreclosures, evictions, hoarding situations, move-outs and downsizing, plus the basement, attic or garage on its own. We are the professional experts on cleanouts, hot tubs, sheds and pianos. Where we can we clear the whole property in one visit, sweep it, and send photos when it is empty. Here it is usually a whole garage or basement, which is more than the town facility would take in a year.

The transfer station here is limited. Will you take everything?

Just about. Furniture, appliances, electronics, construction debris, yard debris you have piled up, sheds, hot tubs and the whole contents of a garage all go out in one load, with no annual limit and no sorting for you to do first. The only things we turn down are hazardous: wet paint, fuels, solvents and propane.

How soon can you get to Litchfield?

Same-day or next-day is often possible. Litchfield is served from our Hooksett office, so it is a regular run for us rather than a special trip.

How do you quote a job?

Call or text 603-490-2177 with a description or a few photos and we give you a price range on the spot. That phone quote is our best guess, not a binding number. When the crew arrives they look at the job and confirm the exact price before any work starts. Once you approve it, it does not change. For big jobs and full cleanouts we come out for a free on-site estimate, Monday to Friday 9 to 5.

Do you beat other quotes?

Yes. Bring us any written estimate from another company and we beat it by up to 10%. And every week we draw one customer's completed job and refund it in full, so keep your receipt.

Do I need to be home?

Not if we can get to the stuff. Plenty of jobs are booked by phone, hauled while you're at work, and closed out with photos and a card payment. If access is tight or you want to point at things yourself, be there and we'll walk it with you.

When will you actually show up?

You get a two-hour arrival window and a courtesy call about 20 minutes out, so you're not sitting around all day. Most single-item pickups are done inside an hour of the truck arriving.

What won't you take?

Hazardous waste is the short list: wet paint or stain, gasoline and other flammable liquids loose in cans or drums, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze, motor oil, asbestos and medical waste. A mower, generator or snow blower with fuel or oil still in it is fine: we drain it as part of the job. Fully dried latex paint is fine. Everything else, if two people can lift it and it fits in the truck, we take it.

How do I pay, and how does the $40 off work?

Credit, debit, cash, or estate, certified and business checks. No personal checks. You get an emailed receipt before the truck leaves. Mention the coupon when you book any job and we take $40 off the quoted price, one per job.
