We do not take a deck off a house, and treehouses are a no. We load it ourselves, we sort what can be recycled out of the load, and the truck leaves with it instead of a dumpster sitting out front for a week. The only things we cannot take are the hazardous ones: wet paint and stain, gasoline, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze and motor oil.

No, as long as we can reach the load and you have agreed the price. You get a two-hour arrival window and a courtesy call about 20 minutes out, so you're not sitting around all day. Most single-item pickups are done inside an hour of the truck arriving.

Hazardous waste is the short list: wet paint or stain, gasoline and other flammable liquids loose in cans or drums, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze, motor oil, asbestos and medical waste. A mower, generator or snow blower with fuel or oil still in it is fine: we drain it as part of the job. Fully dried latex paint is fine. Everything else, if two people can lift it and it fits in the truck, we take it.
