Why Us
Why Use Trash Can Willy's in Marlborough
A couch, a dishwasher and a bicycle are one number rather than three. If two or three strong guys can lift it, it goes on the truck. Here is what people here call us for.
No job too large or small, just point
We are local to and service all of the Marlborough area, and you name it we take it: unwanted furniture, appliances, renovation debris and a complete home or property cleanout. No job is too large or small, our junk removals start as low as just $35, and we do all the work removing your junk from where it sits. Just point, and our experienced crews handle the heavy lifting, the loading and the responsible disposal.
We take the renovation debris that has no municipal route
Between the two city programs there is no municipal option for renovation debris in Marlborough. Curbside collection will not take construction material, demolition debris, sheet rock, insulation, tile, concrete or pressure-treated wood, and the resident drop-off does not accept it either. All of it goes on our truck, loaded by our crew, on the same visit as the furniture.
One number, and sometimes we buy your junk
To us a couch, a dishwasher and a bicycle come to one number rather than three items priced and lifted one at a time. And sometimes we even buy your junk: if what is going out still has resale value, we take a discount off your price for it.
The largest trucks in New England
We use the largest trucks in New England, so a whole cellar leaves in one trip and no dumpster sits on your street for a week. Two or three of us come depending on the size of the job, trained personnel who watch your corners, your carpets and your floors on the way out. You get a two-hour appointment window and a call when we are 20 minutes out. Up to 85% of what we haul is recycled or donated.
We work a shared stairwell without blocking it
Our crews know which pieces have to come apart before they come down, and they know how to work a building where four tenants share one stairwell. There is a lot of that housing in French Hill and the West Village, and we carry from your door rather than meeting you at the street.
Priced on the work, not the air in the truck
Most junk removal companies charge by how much truck space you use. Bricks or feathers, packed tight or full of air, you can pay the same simply because it takes up the same space. We price the actual job: weight, labor, difficulty and access. And our trucks are huge. Three of many competitors' trucks can fit inside one of ours, which means fewer trips to unload, less time spent dumping and lower costs we can pass on to our customers. Your price is approved before anything moves and doesn't change afterward. Plus, we beat any written quote.
Local. Veteran-owned. No franchise fees.
Steve built Trash Can Willy's on the same principles he learned in the military: show up when we say we will, honor our quote, communicate clearly and leave your property better than we found it. We're local, not a franchise. No call centers, corporate runaround or franchise fees built into your price. We're BBB A+ Accredited, licensed and insured, and a portion of every job supports Wounded Warrior Family Support. Fair pricing. Great communication. No stress. Just a job done right.

The Marlborough neighborhoods we cover
We cover the whole city: French Hill north of downtown, the West Village west of it, the East Village around Main and Maple, Fairmount Hill above both, West Marlborough beyond I-495, and the office parks filling the southwest quadrant near the interstate. Marlborough is a regular run for us, not a special trip, and a job that straddles the Hudson, Sudbury, Southborough, Northborough or Berlin line is still one job.
Zip codes we cover in Marlborough: 01752.

FAQ
Questions we get about junk removal in Marlborough
What does a cleanout cost in Marlborough?
It comes down to what the load weighs, the labor it takes and how hard it is to reach. Single items start at $35, $40 comes off any job above that, and the crew confirms the number before we start. Tell us about the stairs and anything that has to come apart and it is all in the one quote. Three pieces of furniture from the same room is one price, not three.
Can you get a sofa out of a French Hill three-family?
Yes, and it is regular work here. Four tenants often share one stairwell in those houses, the landings are tight and the doorframes are original. We measure before we lift and take a piece apart rather than force it. We keep the stairwell clear while we work too, because everybody else in the building still has to use it.
Do you take construction and demolition debris?
Yes. A bathroom gut, a kitchen tear-out, tile, plaster, cabinets, counters and decking you have already pulled up all go on the truck, and they can go on the same visit as the furniture. We do not take a deck off a house, and treehouses are a no. We load it ourselves, we sort what can be recycled out of the load, and the truck leaves with it instead of a dumpster sitting out front for a week. The only things we cannot take are the hazardous ones: wet paint and stain, gasoline, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze and motor oil.
Do I need to be there when you come?
No, as long as we can reach the load and you have agreed the price. A lot of Marlborough jobs are set up by somebody at work in one of the office parks off I-495, or by a family clearing a parent's house from out of state. We call when we are on the way, walk you through the cleared rooms by phone before we leave, and take payment by card.
How fast can you get to Marlborough?
Our Framingham office is one town southeast of you and the two towns share a border, so we come west on Route 9 and up Route 85, or straight in off I-495 and I-290. Same-day or next-day is often possible.
How do you quote a job?
Call or text 603-490-2177 with a description or a few photos and we give you a price range on the spot. That phone quote is our best guess, not a binding number. When the crew arrives they look at the job and confirm the exact price before any work starts. Once you approve it, it does not change. For big jobs and full cleanouts we come out for a free on-site estimate, Monday to Friday 9 to 5.
Do you beat other quotes?
Yes. Bring us any written estimate from another company and we beat it by up to 10%. And every week we draw one customer's completed job and refund it in full, so keep your receipt.
Do I need to be home?
Not if we can get to the stuff. Plenty of jobs are booked by phone, hauled while you're at work, and closed out with photos and a card payment. If access is tight or you want to point at things yourself, be there and we'll walk it with you.
When will you actually show up?
You get a two-hour arrival window and a courtesy call about 20 minutes out, so you're not sitting around all day. Most single-item pickups are done inside an hour of the truck arriving.
What won't you take?
Hazardous waste is the short list: wet paint or stain, gasoline and other flammable liquids loose in cans or drums, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze, motor oil, asbestos and medical waste. A mower, generator or snow blower with fuel or oil still in it is fine: we drain it as part of the job. Fully dried latex paint is fine. Everything else, if two people can lift it and it fits in the truck, we take it.
How do I pay, and how does the $40 off work?
Credit, debit, cash, or estate, certified and business checks. No personal checks. You get an emailed receipt before the truck leaves. Mention the coupon when you book any job and we take $40 off the quoted price, one per job.
