Why Us

Why use Trash Can Willy's in Pelham

We are a local, veteran-owned junk removal company, A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau and 17+ years in business. Here is what that means on a Pelham job.

We are local to and service all of the Pelham area

We proudly serve Pelham for trash, junk and debris hauling. Whether you need construction materials picked up or the garage, basement or attic finally cleaned out, we can accommodate it, and we specialize in junk removal, furniture disposal and whole house property cleanouts both large and small. Single items start at $35, no job is too large or small, and all you have to do is point.

We show up on time, with the largest trucks in New England

We show up on time and we clean up after ourselves. Two or three trained personnel arrive in uniform inside a two-hour window, with a call about 20 minutes ahead, and they watch your corners, your carpets and your floors carrying it out. We use the largest trucks in New England, so a Pelham cleanout that would be two loads for somebody else is one for us.

We take the construction debris the town refuses

The town's own rules refuse construction and demolition debris outright and send Pelham residents over the line to Salem or up to Derry with it. Anything longer or wider than four feet is turned away too, and there is no town bulky pickup to fall back on. We take the debris, the oversized pieces and the rest of it in one load.

Serving Pelham from our Hooksett office

A good deal of Pelham is camp roads, so tell us the access when you book and we bring the right crew. The truck runs south out of our Hooksett branch, so Pelham is a regular run rather than a special trip. Up to 85% of what we load is recycled or donated, anything with resale value comes off your price, and sometimes we even buy your junk.

Priced on the work, not the air in the truck

Most junk removal companies charge by how much truck space you use. Bricks or feathers, packed tight or full of air, you can pay the same simply because it takes up the same space. We price the actual job: weight, labor, difficulty and access. And our trucks are huge. Three of many competitors' trucks can fit inside one of ours, which means fewer trips to unload, less time spent dumping and lower costs we can pass on to our customers. Your price is approved before anything moves and doesn't change afterward. Plus, we beat any written quote.

Local. Veteran-owned. No franchise fees.

Steve built Trash Can Willy's on the same principles he learned in the military: show up when we say we will, honor our quote, communicate clearly and leave your property better than we found it. We're local, not a franchise. No call centers, corporate runaround or franchise fees built into your price. We're BBB A+ Accredited, licensed and insured, and a portion of every job supports Wounded Warrior Family Support. Fair pricing. Great communication. No stress. Just a job done right.

FAQ

Questions we get about junk removal in Pelham

How much does junk removal in Pelham cost?

Single items start at $35, and $40 comes off any job above that. Past that we price the job itself: what it weighs, the labor it takes, how difficult it is and how hard it is to get to. Anything we can resell, donate or recycle comes off that price, and we beat any written quote you already have in hand.

What do you take in Pelham?

You name it, we take it. Furniture, appliances, electronics, household clutter, yard debris, construction debris, hot tubs, sheds, pianos and the whole contents of a basement, garage or attic. The rule of thumb is simple: if two or three strong guys can lift it, it goes on the truck. The short list we cannot take is hazardous: wet paint, gasoline and other fuels, solvents and propane tanks.

Do you recycle and donate?

Yes, up to 85 percent of what we haul. Usable furniture and household goods go to donation partners, metal goes to scrap and electronics go to a certified recycler. If something coming out of your house still has resale value we take a discount off your price for it, and sometimes we even buy your junk.

Do you do full house cleanouts in Pelham?

Yes, and they are a large part of what we do. Estates, foreclosures, evictions, hoarding situations, move-outs and downsizing, plus the basement, attic or garage on its own. We are the professional experts on cleanouts, hot tubs, sheds and pianos. Where we can we clear the whole property in one visit, sweep it, and send photos when it is empty. Around Pelham it is often a camp or a cottage being cleared out for good.

We are right on the Massachusetts line. Do you still cover us?

Yes, and both sides of it. Pelham runs from the Hudson line across to Dracut, Tyngsborough and Methuen, and we work all of that. A job that straddles the state line is still one job to us, one price and one visit.

How soon can you get to Pelham?

Same-day or next-day is often possible. Pelham is served from our Hooksett office, so it is a regular run for us rather than a special trip.

How do you quote a job?

Call or text 603-490-2177 with a description or a few photos and we give you a price range on the spot. That phone quote is our best guess, not a binding number. When the crew arrives they look at the job and confirm the exact price before any work starts. Once you approve it, it does not change. For big jobs and full cleanouts we come out for a free on-site estimate, Monday to Friday 9 to 5.

Do you beat other quotes?

Yes. Bring us any written estimate from another company and we beat it by up to 10%. And every week we draw one customer's completed job and refund it in full, so keep your receipt.

Do I need to be home?

Not if we can get to the stuff. Plenty of jobs are booked by phone, hauled while you're at work, and closed out with photos and a card payment. If access is tight or you want to point at things yourself, be there and we'll walk it with you.

When will you actually show up?

You get a two-hour arrival window and a courtesy call about 20 minutes out, so you're not sitting around all day. Most single-item pickups are done inside an hour of the truck arriving.

What won't you take?

Hazardous waste is the short list: wet paint or stain, gasoline and other flammable liquids loose in cans or drums, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze, motor oil, asbestos and medical waste. A mower, generator or snow blower with fuel or oil still in it is fine: we drain it as part of the job. Fully dried latex paint is fine. Everything else, if two people can lift it and it fits in the truck, we take it.

How do I pay, and how does the $40 off work?

Credit, debit, cash, or estate, certified and business checks. No personal checks. You get an emailed receipt before the truck leaves. Mention the coupon when you book any job and we take $40 off the quoted price, one per job.
