Why Us

Why Use Trash Can Willy's in Andover

We come to the door wherever the door is, private way or town road, and the price does not move because of who owns the pavement.

No job is too big or too small

One recliner out of a condo unit, or a house that has been in the same family since the sixties, cleared attic to basement. You name it, we take it. You point and we remove it from where it sits, so nothing has to come down to the curb and nothing waits for a collection day. We are licensed and insured.

We come onto private roads and into condo complexes

A good share of Andover sits on private ways and in condo associations where the pavement outside your door belongs to the association rather than the town. The town says plainly that trash on private property will not be picked up, and that an address not on town collection stays that way. None of that changes anything for us. We come to the door, wherever the door is, and the price does not move because of who owns the road.

We take more than one item a week

The town takes one bulky item a week with the regular trash, and a cleared attic is twenty of those. None of them can wait twenty weeks. We take the whole lot on one visit, for one number you approve before anything moves.

Bigger trucks mean one trip, not twenty

We use the largest trucks in New England, so a whole house goes in a single load rather than an item a week. Two or three of us come depending on the size of the job, trained personnel who watch your corners, your carpets and your floors on the way out. You get a two-hour appointment window and a call when we are 20 minutes out. Up to 85% of what we haul is recycled or donated: usable furniture to local charities, electronics to recycling.

Priced on the work, not the air in the truck

Most junk removal companies charge by how much truck space you use. Bricks or feathers, packed tight or full of air, you can pay the same simply because it takes up the same space. We price the actual job: weight, labor, difficulty and access. And our trucks are huge. Three of many competitors' trucks can fit inside one of ours, which means fewer trips to unload, less time spent dumping and lower costs we can pass on to our customers. Your price is approved before anything moves and doesn't change afterward. Plus, we beat any written quote.

Local. Veteran-owned. No franchise fees.

Steve built Trash Can Willy's on the same principles he learned in the military: show up when we say we will, honor our quote, communicate clearly and leave your property better than we found it. We're local, not a franchise. No call centers, corporate runaround or franchise fees built into your price. We're BBB A+ Accredited, licensed and insured, and a portion of every job supports Wounded Warrior Family Support. Fair pricing. Great communication. No stress. Just a job done right.

What Andover customers say about us

Nothing below was written in our office: it is all Google, first names and home towns and all. The Andover ones come off private ways and out of condo associations where the town's own truck never turns in.

Service Areas

The Andover neighborhoods we cover

We cover the whole town, from the Lawrence line down toward Wilmington and Tewksbury and across to North Andover, private ways and condo associations included. Andover is a regular run for us, not a special trip, and the same trucks work Lawrence, North Andover, Methuen and Tewksbury through the week, so a job that straddles a town line is still one job. The Shawsheen and the Merrimack both run through the town, Route 28, Route 133 and Route 125 cross it, and I-93 and I-495 both touch it.

Zip codes we cover in Andover: 01810.

FAQ

Questions we get about junk removal in Andover

I live on a private road in Andover. Will you still come?

Yes, and it is one of the main reasons people here call us. Plenty of addresses in this town are on private ways and in condo associations where municipal collection does not reach, so a sofa can sit in a garage for months with nowhere to go. Private ways, associations and shared drives are ordinary work for us and the price is the same as it would be on a public street. Tell us the address when you book.

What does a cleanout cost in Andover?

It comes down to what the load weighs, the labor it takes and how hard it is to reach. Single items start at $35, $40 comes off any job above that, and the crew confirms the exact number before anything is lifted. A garage or one room is a small job. A whole house after forty years is a big one, and we say so up front rather than halfway through the day.

Can you get a sectional down old center-entrance stairs?

Usually, and if it genuinely will not go we tell you before you are paying us to find out. The older part of town has narrow stairs with a turn at the landing and original trim beside them. We measure first and take the piece apart rather than forcing it.

How fast can you get to Andover?

Lawrence is four miles north of you and that is our yard, so Andover is one of the shortest runs we have. Same-day or next-day is often possible.

How do you quote a job?

Call or text 603-490-2177 with a description or a few photos and we give you a price range on the spot. That phone quote is our best guess, not a binding number. When the crew arrives they look at the job and confirm the exact price before any work starts. Once you approve it, it does not change. For big jobs and full cleanouts we come out for a free on-site estimate, Monday to Friday 9 to 5.

Do you beat other quotes?

Yes. Bring us any written estimate from another company and we beat it by up to 10%. And every week we draw one customer's completed job and refund it in full, so keep your receipt.

Do I need to be home?

Not if we can get to the stuff. Plenty of jobs are booked by phone, hauled while you're at work, and closed out with photos and a card payment. If access is tight or you want to point at things yourself, be there and we'll walk it with you.

When will you actually show up?

You get a two-hour arrival window and a courtesy call about 20 minutes out, so you're not sitting around all day. Most single-item pickups are done inside an hour of the truck arriving.

What won't you take?

Hazardous waste is the short list: wet paint or stain, gasoline and other flammable liquids loose in cans or drums, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze, motor oil, asbestos and medical waste. A mower, generator or snow blower with fuel or oil still in it is fine: we drain it as part of the job. Fully dried latex paint is fine. Everything else, if two people can lift it and it fits in the truck, we take it.

How do I pay, and how does the $40 off work?

Credit, debit, cash, or estate, certified and business checks. No personal checks. You get an emailed receipt before the truck leaves. Mention the coupon when you book any job and we take $40 off the quoted price, one per job.
