Why Us
Why Choose Trash Can Willy's for Bagster Removal
Already filled a Bagster? We pick those up. Have not bought one yet? Here is what the bag actually costs and what it will not take.
We pick up full Bagsters
If you already have a full Bagster sitting in the driveway, we pick those up too. We take the bag and everything in it and price the job the way we price any load: weight, labor and access. No waiting on a collection window, and no second phone call to arrange it.
The bag is the cheap part
The bag is $29 to $49 at Home Depot, Lowe's or Walmart, and it is bought, not rented. Across NH and MA the collection fee runs $119 to $199 a pickup and averages $180, with an $8 booking fee on top. That puts one filled bag at about $220 all in, and the bag is the part you fill yourself. We price our own work on weight, labor, difficulty and access rather than on the size of a container, and 95% of our customers get a discount.
You still do all of the work
You drive out for the bag, carry it home, unfold it somewhere it can stay, then carry everything you want gone 20 to 30 feet or more, probably down a few stairs. Then you schedule the pickup, supervise it and call to pay. That is 4 to 8 hours of your day. For at least 20% less we come out and remove your items from where they sit, and all you do is point. Booking us takes about 3 minutes, the crew loads it in 20, and your whole day costs you 15 to 20 minutes without lifting a thing.
It has to sit where their crane truck can reach it
Their truck carries a 16 foot crane. They will not pick the bag up unless it is curbside or in a driveway at least 12 feet wide with 18 to 20 feet of overhead clearance. You also have to sign a damage waiver so a 70,000 pound truck can drive on a driveway built for 5 to 10 thousand pound cars. We back our truck up to wherever your junk already is.
It will not take half of what you want gone
Prohibited in a Bagster: hazardous waste, paint, televisions, electronics of any kind, air conditioners, refrigerators, appliances, yard waste and regular food trash. They also want you to handle the recycling of tires, batteries, glass, metals, paper and plastic products and light bulbs, because they do not take those either. The bag holds 3 cubic yards with a 3,300 pound limit, and Waste Management says it may not accommodate bulky or heavy items. Here is what we do not accept: hazmat and paint, that is it.
Priced on the work, not the air in the truck
Most junk removal companies charge by how much truck space you use. Bricks or feathers, packed tight or full of air, you can pay the same simply because it takes up the same space. We price the actual job: weight, labor, difficulty and access. And our trucks are huge. Three of many competitors' trucks can fit inside one of ours, which means fewer trips to unload, less time spent dumping and lower costs we can pass on to our customers. Your price is approved before anything moves and doesn't change afterward. Plus, we beat any written quote.
We recycle or donate up to 85% of what we haul
In 2025 alone we recycled more than a million pounds of scrap metal and passed thousands of usable items on, much of it to the Epilepsy Foundation, Goodwill, the Salvation Army and local soup kitchens. When a job turns up a meaningful amount of that, it comes off your price, so the sorting works in your favor twice.
A real crew, in uniform, fully insured
Two or three of us show up depending on the size of the job, with the largest trucks in New England behind them: three of a competitor's trucks fit inside one of our 20-foot boxes. Background-checked, uniformed, trained personnel who watch your corners, your carpets and your floors on the way out. US DOT 2420455, proof of insurance on request.
Local. Veteran-owned. No franchise fees.
Steve built Trash Can Willy's on the same principles he learned in the military: show up when we say we will, honor our quote, communicate clearly and leave your property better than we found it. We're local, not a franchise. No call centers, corporate runaround or franchise fees built into your price. We're BBB A+ Accredited, licensed and insured, and a portion of every job supports Wounded Warrior Family Support. Fair pricing. Great communication. No stress. Just a job done right.

FAQ
Bagster questions, straight answers
I already bought one and filled it. Can you take it?
Yes. We pick up full Bagsters and haul the whole thing away, priced on weight, labor and access like any other load. Text a photo of the bag and where it sits and we will give you a number.
Are you affiliated with Bagster?
No. Bagster is a Waste Management product and we have nothing to do with it.
How does the second bag discount work?
Waste Management discounts a second bag pickup by $20. Against a collection fee that averages $180 a bag, that is a discount of less than 5%. We do not price by the bag or by the load at all. We price on weight, labor, difficulty and access, we give you a guesstimate on the phone, and the crew confirms the exact price on site before any work starts.
Do you rent dumpsters? I came here from the dumpster page.
No, we do not rent dumpsters. Our junk removal price is typically just a little bit above renting one, and for that we do all of the work: you do not load it, and there is no container in the driveway for a week. Pickups start at $35.
Is a bag cheaper than hiring us?
Price the whole thing before you decide: the bag, the collection fee, the booking fee and your own weekend. For at least 20% less we come out, remove it from where it sits and do all the lifting.
Do I have to move anything to the curb first?
No. You point, we take it. Two or three of us come depending on the size of the job and we do all of the work: out of the basement, down the attic stairs, around the landing, into the truck. You do not lift anything and you do not drag anything outside. We sweep the space broom clean before we leave.
How do you quote a job?
Call or text 603-490-2177 with a description or a few photos and we give you a price range on the spot. That phone quote is our best guess, not a binding number. When the crew arrives they look at the job and confirm the exact price before any work starts. Once you approve it, it does not change. For big jobs and full cleanouts we come out for a free on-site estimate, Monday to Friday 9 to 5.
Do you beat other quotes?
Yes. Bring us any written estimate from another company and we beat it by up to 10%. And every week we draw one customer's completed job and refund it in full, so keep your receipt.
Do I need to be home?
Not if we can get to the stuff. Plenty of jobs are booked by phone, hauled while you're at work, and closed out with photos and a card payment. If access is tight or you want to point at things yourself, be there and we'll walk it with you.
When will you actually show up?
You get a two-hour arrival window and a courtesy call about 20 minutes out, so you're not sitting around all day. Most single-item pickups are done inside an hour of the truck arriving.
What won't you take?
Hazardous waste is the short list: wet paint or stain, gasoline and other flammable liquids loose in cans or drums, propane tanks, solvents, acids, antifreeze, motor oil, asbestos and medical waste. A mower, generator or snow blower with fuel or oil still in it is fine: we drain it as part of the job. Fully dried latex paint is fine. Everything else, if two people can lift it and it fits in the truck, we take it.
How do I pay, and how does the $40 off work?
Credit, debit, cash, or estate, certified and business checks. No personal checks. You get an emailed receipt before the truck leaves. Mention the coupon when you book any job and we take $40 off the quoted price, one per job.
