What We Take
If two or three of us can lift it, it goes in the truck
This list covers what people ask for by name. It is not a limit. If your thing is not here, call or text a photo of it and we will tell you straight away, including if the answer is no.
You point, we take it. Two or three of us show up depending on the size of the job, and we do all of the work: the stairs, the corners, the loading, and the broom on the way out. You do not move anything to the curb and you do not lift a thing.
Size is rarely the problem either. We run the largest trucks in New England, and three of a competitor's trucks fit inside one of ours.

What we cannot take
Short list, and it is all hazardous waste. For safety and environmental reasons, there are a few items we are unable to remove.
- Paint and stain, wet or dried
- Thinners, solvents and household chemicals
- Poison, pesticide and fertilizer
- Gasoline, fuel, motor oil and antifreeze
- Propane tanks
- Home heating oil tanks
- Fluorescent bulbs
- Asbestos and any other regulated hazardous material
Paint is a no either way, wet or dried. Stain and thinners too. Here is how to dry out old paint at home so it can go out with your own trash, the way we have been telling customers to do it for years. Your town runs a household hazardous waste day for the rest.
Items that carry a recycling charge
A few items cost money to recycle because the state says they have to be handled separately. These are our actual costs, not a markup. Ask when you call and we will tell you what applies to your load.
- Televisions are $35 each. Monitors are handled the same way.
- Mattresses and box springs carry an EPA recycling charge on top of the pickup. Ask us and we will tell you what it comes to.
- Tires: car tires under 19 inches are $8 each, or $15 on the rim. Truck tires over 19 inches are $35 to $50 each on rims. Large equipment and CAT tires, call us.
- Refrigerators and air conditioners are $25 each for the Freon recovery the law requires.

Junk removal questions, answered
How much does junk removal cost?
Single items start at $35 and most full loads run well below the big franchises, about 30% less on average. Every job gets a fair upfront price before we touch anything, and we beat any written quote.
How soon can you come?
Same-day is often possible depending on where the trucks already are, and otherwise it is next day. Call or text and we will tell you what is open before you commit to anything. We run Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5 and Saturday 8 to 4. We are closed Sunday.
What do you take?
If two or three strong guys can lift it and it fits in a box truck, we take it: furniture, appliances, hot tubs, sheds, construction debris, whole basements. We can't take hazardous waste like paint, oil or chemicals.
What happens to my stuff?
Most of it gets a second life. Usable goods are donated, a lot of it to the Epilepsy Foundation, Goodwill, the Salvation Army and local soup kitchens, metals and electronics get recycled, and only the true junk goes to the transfer station. A portion of every job we do goes to the Wounded Warriors Family Support Fund.
How many people show up?
Two or three, depending on the size of the job. You point at what is going and the crew does the lifting, the stairs and the loading. Nobody expects you to drag it to the curb first.
Do I need to be home?
Nope. Point us at the pile by phone or photo, and as long as we can reach it, we can haul it and send you the after photos.
How does the $40 off coupon work?
Mention the coupon when you book any job and we take $40 off the quoted price. One per job.
